| Andy. Does everyone use the Forum? Can a message be put on Yahoo that we are desperate? Presume those mentioned last night were unavailable. |

| Andi. I can only send to Yahoo as a reply to another topic. Like you I cannot get on with my supposed password! I have posted your number for use by members, who look at the Email postings, in a reply to Roy's note about the Manchester X Country. More members use Yahoo than use the Forum so your number will get round. Glad you seem to have got a full team. C U Sunday. John |

HI Al
Just got answer phone message from Andi and read forum. I am not fit and am still having some problems after op. so I will be a bit of liability time wise but could run if still short for leg 3 - but is problme solved now?. Other problem is that my whistle, compass, bag, water proof tousers are still with Duncan (I assume) after last years Calderdale way relay. Also don't have transport so would need to scrounge a lift - I will go down to Heaton Park today - but will be a bit late as I need some sleep - so won't be a round to help set course out - apologies.
Here's hoping I'm not required tomorrow for the relay!

Leg 2- John Brown and Billy Burns
Leg 3- Dave Townsend and Mike Shackcloth

Looking at the result. Horwich and Pudsey had cracking runs and deserved to fight it out. The second Pudsey runner on Leg 6 ran a very gutsy leg. He was off the back and struggling when Horwich repassed them with three miles to go. When they passed Billy and I with 400 yards to go the two teams were neck and neck and he was still slightly detached but was still giving it his all!! Tough as old boots!!
Horwich did their homework with their recruiting too. Geoff is sorely missed. However, as Andy has pointed out and not to decry those who ran, we could do it next year with our strongest team. Would they all run though? Good question? Time will tell.
