No map yet, but have been told by course setter earlier today that start is at the Bank Bridge Road/Riverpark Road end of Clayton Vale. Toilet facilities will be at the Velodrome. The course sounds a bit flat with one short hill of about 40yards. Mostly grass but a bit of tracks in parts, should be suitable for spikes.
If I get any more info I'll post on group email. |

Cheers Andy.
Just texted you back from yesterday. British Airways managed to lose my baggage in Gatwick last night and I the phone charger in the bag. They have just returned it tonight. Come and run the Gravy Pud on Sunday as well. Lovely course. |

Lilford park from manchester
A580 east lancs rd towards haydock.
turn left to then cross the A580 onto the A572 chaddock lane to Astley
(stupid junction).
Follow A572 towards Leigh.
After passing Bedford high school on the left you should come to a roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto HOLDEN RD .
Turn right after about a mile onto PLATT FOLD ROAD.
At the end of this rd turn right onto THE AVENUE.
Then turn first right onto ELMRIDGE lilford park should be on the left. |

7th, 2.17.51
An ok run. Not disappointed but was after quicker. Was operating at 2.15 and below pace for first 31k and then could have done with some people to run with. Pace dropped. Encouraging things is that my legs are not as trashed as usual and hopefully with a few days off running and few careful weeks I can then get back. Looking forward to a Spring marathon. |
